T-Wharf Story

Charles was a mining engineer/mine manager. He managed the Snowshoe mine near Phoenix, BC ca 1907 and worked for the Consolidated Mining & Smelting Co. (now TECK/Cominco) in Trail BC. The family was living in Nelson BC in 1911. Sometime after 1913, he went to Texas and was manager of the Delores Mine and then general manager of the Mines Company of America in El Paso. In 1917 he became the general manager of the newly formed Texas Gulf Sulphur Company in Matagorda, TX. They supplied sulphur to the military during the WWI. Charles retired ca 1927. Children:

Charles Biesel Jr. (b. Apr 1907 d. Oct 26 1930 Houston TX),

Margurite Elizabeth Biesel (b. Feb 23 1909 Phoenix BC d. Dec 13, 1960 Houston TX), Married 1929 Harris, TX Nathaniel Howard Williamson.

Fredrick William. (b. Sept 1910 d. Oct 22, 1952 Houston TX),

James Biesel (b.July 31, 1912 El Paso TX d. Mar16, 1965 Houston TX)

Walter F. (b. 1915)

Maude L. (b. 1918)

1920 census shows they were in Matagorda TX.
